Little Talkers Speech Therapy is excited to partner with Shirlee Green Preschool to offer complimentary speech and language screenings for enrolled children.

What is a Speech and Language Screening?

Wondering how your child’s communication skills are developing?

A speech and language screening is a brief, play-based look at your child’s communication skills. It can help identify whether your child is developing as expected or whether a more comprehensive evaluation may be beneficial.

During the screening, I may look at areas such as:

Speech sound development

Expressive language (how your child communicates their ideas)

Receptive language (how your child understands language)

Social communication and interaction

Age-appropriate communication skills

The screening is brief and is not a full speech and language evaluation or diagnosis.

What Can I Expect?

1. Complete the form below.
Your completed form provides permission for your child to participate in the screening.

2. Your child participates at preschool.
I’ll spend approximately 10–15 minutes with your child in a comfortable, play-based setting at Shirlee Green Preschool.

3. You’ll receive the results.
After the screening, you’ll receive a brief summary of what I observed via e-mail (with results attached to the e-mail) and any recommendations for next steps, if appropriate.

There is no cost to you.

This screening is being offered complimentary to families at Shirlee Green Preschool.

I specialize in helping young children build communication skills through play-based, child-centered therapy.My goal with screenings isn’t simply to count how many words your child says. I want to look at the whole picture of how your child communicates.
